Top 5 Benefits you gain when taking a cold shower [2022]

I’m sure we’ve all been in that situation where there’s no hot water and we have to have a cold shower bath. If you’re not used to it, it can be painful and you just want to get out of there.

There are many benefits to having a cold shower and it doesn’t have to be as hard as you think. If that day comes when the hot water isn’t working you might not even break a sweat.

Let’s check out these five benefits you gain when taking a cold shower:

1) Mental Health:-

Waking up in the morning can be very difficult. We may feel a little down, unmotivated, or mentally struggling. Cold showers increase endorphins which are feel-good hormones in your brain. These endorphins can ease symptoms of depression and anxiety. Cold showers also decrease cortisol which are stress-inducing hormones. It should also wake you up making your mind and body fresh for the day which is exactly what you need in the early morning.

2) Physical Health:-

Not only do cold showers increase the burning of body fat, strengthen our immune system, and reduce inflammation they also increase blood flow throughout the body. You probably heard of people that tend to switch between hot and cold water when they’re showering. Switching between the two causes an increase in blood flow. South Asian communities are four times at risk of heart disease compared to the general population. Issues such as high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases are so commonly heard of in our families. By improving our blood flow we can reduce the risk of certain chronic diseases. Therefore, good health means more time to enjoy life and to meditate on the one because health is wealth.

3) Better Hair & Skin:-

Even though we shouldn’t become obsessed with our bodies and looks, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t take care of them. The body is the home of god so we should take care of it. When we shower with warm water it opens up our pores removing all the dirt and oils and using cold water causes our pores to close back up again. This can help reduce acne itching and even help those who suffer from eczema. The same goes for our hair as hot and cold showers prevent dirt from easily accumulating within our scalp. This will lead to stronger, healthier, and shinier-looking hair because you’re worth it.

4) Save Time and Money:-

How many times have we had to wait for somebody in the shower if the water is nice and warm we’re going to stay there forever. Also, our water electric bills are going to be high. Having a cold shower means you’re going to be In and Out really quickly, however, faster does not always mean cleaner so make sure you don’t forget to apply soap as well.

5) Building Resilience:-

It’s easy to become complacent in life, we take the simple things regardless such as a soft bed, hot water, and electricity. Taking cold showers builds up mental resilience to hard times we might face in our lives. Stepping into the cold water requires strong mental toughness if we’re able to overcome it then it is teaching us that in our lives whenever we face a difficult task or obstacle we can overcome that as well. Therefore, in our lives, we learn how to ride the waves and not drown in them.

Best Home Remedies for Hair Follicle

The Hair Follicle (HF) is a vital component of mammalian skin and represents a unique, highly regenerative system that undergoes phases of rapid growth, regression, and resting periods. Hair cycling is of profound clinical relevance since the majority of hair growth disorders occur as a result of cycle changes. The influence of many molecules governing the formation of HF has been investigated and many important cycle mediators have been identified. Cellular and molecular events during cycling are controlled by a network of sequential activation of autocrine, paracrine, and endocrine signaling pathways.

Hair follicles vary considerably in size and shape, depending on their location, but they all have the same basic structure. Rapidly proliferating matrix cells in the hair bulb produce the hair shaft, whose bulk — the cortex — is composed of hair-specific intermediate filaments and associated proteins. The pigment in the hair shaft is produced by melanocytes interspersed among the matrix cells. As the matrix cells differentiate and move upward, they are compressed and funneled into their final shape by the rigid inner-root sheath, whose dimensions and curvature largely determine the shape of the hair. The dermal papilla, which is composed of specialized fibroblasts located at the base of the follicle, is thought to control the number of matrix cells and thus the size of hair.

Best Home Remedies for Hair Follicle

  • Prevent the skin: Avoid wearing tight or irritating clothing, reduce the risk of exposing the skin to harsh chemicals and skincare products, and try to limit shaving and trim instead when possible.

  • Warm compresses: Placing a warm compress on the affected area can reduce itching and draw out pus. To make a compress, simply soak a cloth in warm water and wring out the excess. Apply to the skin for up to 20 minutes. Repeat as needed.
  • Soothing bath: Soaking in a tub of warm water may help reduce the itching and pain associated with folliculitis. Adding oatmeal or an oatmeal-based product can be helpful, as research suggests it has anti-inflammatory properties. Alternatively, one cup of baking soda added to a bath may also ease symptoms. Thoroughly dry the skin after bathing.
